Michael Pompeo
Prior to joining the Fund’s Board, from 2018 to 2021, Mr. Pompeo served as the United States Secretary of State, and as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) from 2017 to 2018. Mr. Pompeo has extensive knowledge and experience in both business and global affairs. He has served in many senior roles, including as a partner at Impact Investments LLC, a U.S.-based strategic and financial advisory and investment firm, since 2021, and as a partner at Niobrara Capital Partners, LP, a U.S.-based private equity firm, since April 2024. He co-founded and served as the CEO of Thayer Aerospace for years, and later served as President of Sentry International, a manufacturer of oilfield equipment, from 2006 to 2010. He also sits on the board of directors of several private companies, including Simpler Postage, Inc. (d/b/a EasyPost), a U.S. shipping logistics services company, which he joined in 2022. Mr. Pompeo also serves as a director of Veon, Ltd., a multinational telecommunications company, a position he has held since November 2023. Mr. Pompeo received a B.S. in Engineering from the United States Military Academy in 1986 and a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1994.
